Debbie Koke brings over 20 years of successful public relations experience to Orca Communications. Her passion for creating results-driven media campaigns for a diverse range of clients is what fuels and excites her. As a publicist, Debbie’s solid track record in promoting global lifestyle brands and businesses of all sizes, including wine & spirits, health & beauty, non-profits, financial, technology, and entertainment industries, has enabled her to dive in and learn about a variety of industries. Understanding the unique vision and goals that each of her clients has enables Debbie to tell their story in the most compelling way possible.
Establishing strong media ties has yielded coverage in highly visible outlets such as “Good Morning America,” “Today Show,” CNN, The New York Times, Associated Press, USA Today, Time Digital Magazine, TV Guide, Entrepreneur Magazine, YM, PC Magazine, About.com— and literally hundreds of consumer, trade and online publications.
Before joining Orca, Debbie worked with public relations and marketing agencies in New York and Connecticut securing media coverage for clients such as Yamaha Corporation of America, Star Brand Imports, a member of the Heineken Group, DYMO labelers, Sesame Street, Texaco Corporation, The Justin Timberlake Foundation, Salamander Designs, and dozens more. In addition to crafting “perfect pitches” and press releases, her responsibilities also extended to organizing and securing media for international press trips, scheduling trade show media coverage, and conducting media training for clients.
Debbie earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Pace University and a Masters of Arts degree in Business Communications from Jones International University. A lifelong New Yorker, she now resides in Bethel, Connecticut, with her husband, and twins, Brooke and Connor.
