“As Seen On” – Top Orca PR Media Placements from March 2023

April 4, 2023 | Amanda Green

Our clients saw wonderful coverage in March. The Wall Street Journal sat down once again with Velong Enterprises, daytime TV’s “Drew Barrymore Show” featured two of our clients, and Forbes named FTDNA one of the best DNA testing kits in the industry. We love showcasing the work of our talented publicists each month by sharing these top-tier press placements! But not all press coverage is top-tier. And that’s actually great! Smaller publications often target niche audiences that can be hard for brands to reach. We’ve included both in this month’s recap of the Top Orca PR Media Placements from March 2023.

As Velong takes steps to truly create a viable +1 option for manufacturing that has traditionally happened solely in China, Jacob Rothman shares about his exploratory trip to Mexico, and how many other manufacturers in China will also be looking for opportunities elsewhere. The Wall Street Journal discusses what Mexico, and other countries, are doing to become the best +1 choice for viable alternatives to Chinese factories. This is the second time the Wall Street Journal has talked to Rothman.

Setex Eyeglass pads in Real Simple

Setex on Real Simple

Speaking of product roundups, Real Simple included Setex Eyeglass Pads in a story about clever items that simplify life. In addition to publishing the product roundup for the 5-million+ viewers who visit RealSimple.com every month, the article will also be published in Real Simple Magazine, which has a 2-million print circulation.

…about those niche articles…

They can make a big splash too. In March, BookRiot featured Aardvark Book Club, a perfect outlet for the subscription book club. We saw a lot of placements in food trade publications: Charcutnuvo in Refrigerated Frozen Food, Whoa Dough in Snack Food & Wholesale Bakery, and coverage in NOSH are a few examples. Laboratory Equipment Magazine is super niche, but a great placement for cannabis testing technology company, ElectraTect. Marzipops in the Jewish Light Newspaper is another great example of how targeting smaller press outlets can make a big impact.

Finding the right angle and the right outlets is key to PR success. One of the first things we do when you work with us is learning about your products and your customers so that we can find the right publications and journalists to pitch your stories to. We’d be happy to schedule a meeting and figure out a PR plan that works best for you.
