Recap: What we saw at SuperZoo 2022

If you thought the pet business was exploding, SuperZoo 2022 confirms it. Hundreds of the coolest new pet products were on display–hoping to be picked up by retailers. The show was hopping, to say the least. There were rows upon rows of “why didn’t I think of that” types of products. I spent two days just walking around dog and cat displays. There were 1200 exhibitors and of that–800 new products that just launched. In fact, I ran out of time before I could even check out what’s new for pet fish!

The most popular products were probably natural pet supplements and food. So much to see–I skipped lunch and grabbed what I was promised was a “human grade” cookie so I didn’t have to stop. Human-grade food was hot as were different types of protein from crickets to Dogviar (sturgeon caviar that’s not only decadent but super good for your pup). My dogs love peanut butter–so Paw Power’s Dawg Butter was a standout for sure. It was gadgets and toys galore and I even did a little shopping for myself at the Diphda booth featuring luxury matching jewelry for pets and their owners.

The highlight for this PR gal was definitely meeting so many of our clients in person and showing them off to the media. Thank you Lauren Katims and Rose Rembao-Ledesma from Dogster/Catser Magazine for taking so much time to chat with Spleash, Alex Ross World, Walkee Paws, Dofu Cat Litter, Soda Pup, and DooLoop. I have to say–I was proud to show off all their cool products and pet lovers make the nicest clients!
Colorful Pups!
SuperZoo 2022 was a blast. I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the fabulous grooming station. I saw Golden Doodles that were made to look like lions and giraffes and poodles that were dyed magenta. So perfectly coiffed–they looked more like stuffed animals. I could go on–but after two full days of SuperZoo and one canceled flight home–my dogs (otherwise known as my feet) are a little tired and I’m ready to spend time with my own pups Gigi and Stella who I can’t wait to spoil with all the samples from the show!
