The press showered our clients with media features in April. One client in particular, Family Tree DNA, received several top-tier placements in April surrounding National DNA Day. As proof of why we say PR sometimes takes time, we saw long-lead placements come through from heavy-hitters of the PR world including Oprah Daily and The Wall Street Journal. We paused to smile as press outlets from all over the country shared beautiful stories of new life and family from the Snowflake Embryo Adoption Program. Meanwhile, some of the products we rep received placements in Forbes, Men’s Health, Cosmopolitan, Trendhunter — and so many others. Family Tree DNA is a pioneer in the DNA industry. So, when National DNA Testing Day came around on April 25th, we wanted to make sure all of the publications covering the day recognized them as a leader in DNA testing. 

Editors at USA Today said they liked it in a roundup of the 5 best DNA testing kits! NASDAQ placed FTDNA at number 2 on its top 5 list, calling it the best test for “deep heritage analysis.”

The editorial team at CNET also complimented FTDNA. The writer that put together their list of the Best DNA Tests for 2023 says, “FamilyTreeDNA provides the most complete suite of introductory tools of any provider I tested.”

A contributing writer for TechAdvisor agrees with the sentiment, naming FTDNA among the best DNA test kits and deals for 2023.

These authentic editorial reviews will likely live online for years to come. The amazing 3rd party reviews and endorsement educates potential consumers to make them feel more comfortable and confident about their DNA test kit purchase decisions.

Several media outlets shared the sweet stories new life coming into the world via the Snowflakes Embryo Adoption journey. As part of National Infertility Awareness Week, INSIDER shared the story of Rodney & Mary Leah Miller to create awareness of the relatively unknown option for building a family. And National Scripps News correspondent Elizabeth Ruiz highlighted the program, featuring the Blair family of Colorado Springs, CO as well as Kimberly Tyson, VP of Snowflakes Embryo Adoption.  The 4.5 minute story is posted online in more than a dozen media markets.

Dreams do come true for Kloveo. They landed a placement in their dream outlet – Oprah Daily. Editors call the champagne topper a “must have” in a graduation gift guide.

Oprah is known to be a long-lead publication, but patience pays off! The lifestyle outlet also included Goodfit Puzzle in a graduation gift guide.

Speaking of long leads, this Forbes placement is proof that sometimes it’s just a matter of editors finding the right fit for the products they try and love. In this case, a contributor to Forbes included MeatCrafters in an article titled “Social Media Users Love These Spring Picnicking Products.” The writer says, “For cooking out on a grill, nothing beats these lamb sausages if you want to serve something unique.” Now that is what we call bragging rights!

You know it’s an incredible month for your PR firm when a placement in the Wall Street Journal is just one in a handful of noteworthy top-tier placements. Umby is included in a fun feature called, “Join the Debate: Should Anyone Spend $100 on an Umbrella?”

It’s part of the newspaper’s recurring series called “That’s Debatable.”  It’s mentioned as a good durable option that starts at $35.
